Get Real Traffic to Your Site for Free!

Building a website can present itself as a challenge, but once it’s completed you need people to know about it. How does one go about getting a steady flow of online traffic? The article that you’re reading will explain what to do and give you the marketing edge!

1. The fastest way to get hits is to take part in what you’re seeing. Write articles. Writing articles will get you a lot of hits for your site. You can write about anything you’d like, really. The secret of getting it to work is to make your articles go hand-in-hand with what you have to offer. If you are a political genius, you could write political articles. If you’re a specialist in health care, you can write about the medications and technologies available to the health field. It’s wise to stick with what you know. You wouldn’t want to write about nuclear fission, if you’re not in that field of work.

Ezines will pick up your material if they like what they see. That’s more exposure for you. The more exposure you gain, the more hits your site will receive. Be sure to always invite the reader to visit your site. Give them a reason to. Don’t say, “Visit my site at “X” address.” It’s all about exposure, and to get that exposure you will have to promote yourself.

2. Submit to the search engines. Everyone would like to have a number one spot on Google or Yahoo. You’ll get there, but you’ll have to work for it. There are free sites that offer search engine submissions to the top search engines. http://www.addme.com will do this for free. You will have to register for a few things, but it will get you listed. It won’t cost you a dime.

3. Always try to link to others who are in the same category as you. If you’re an author, link to other authors. There’s no need to worry about competition. You’ll gain a lot of exposure by doing so. The search engines also use this in their spiders to discover your page ranking. If you have a thousand hits, your page ranking will grow. The higher page ranking you have, the more exposure you’ll receive. Do not join a link exchange farm on the internet. Google bans websites that take part in that. Link exchange farms exists to try to manipulate the search engines into including them. In reality, it only hurts your cause. If you get banned for joining one of them, there goes your search engine traffic. Link exchange farms will only harm you. I can’t stress that enough.

4. This is similar to mutual links, but have a few outgoing links on your site. You’ll get search engine points for having a few of them. If you have thirty links that are similar to yours that backlink to you, add three outgoing links that have nothing to do with what you’re doing. It would be best to have those outgoing links with a higher page ranking. You can do research on what sites have higher page rankings with such online tools, such as http://www.iwebtool.com

5. Just get out and promote your site with every chance you get. If you belong to any message boards, add your site in your signature. You may get a few hits by doing so. You’ll want to give them a reason to visit. Don’t spam and follow all rules that the administrators have in place.

It sounds simple, and it really is. It’s not that hard, it’s just learing how to get started. I hope that you have gained some knowledge on how to get that much needed web traffic to your site. There are other ways to gain traffic, but this is basically the crash course. When you get this down pat, you can branch out to traffic generators and the such. The only problem with those is that no one hardly stays long enough to visit your site. Most people only stay long enough to get points to build up their web traffic.

Why Resources Added to a Web site Increase Revenue!

There are literally billions of Web sites online now offering all types of products and services. Some succeed brilliantly, while others fail miserably.

There can be many reasons for the failure of some Web sites: poor marketing, poor planning, a weak knowledge of the target market, or just an overall lack of knowledge of business principles by the Web site owner.

One shared trait of successful Web sites, however, is the ability and drive to provide good resources to its visitors. This is a tactic that increases traffic, keeps visitors engaged and coming back, and lends authenticity and reliability to a site. Yet many new (and sometimes “not so new”) Web masters neglect this very important facet of Web site development and Internet marketing.

Why? There are many reasons, however, here are the “most” common:

1. A Web master may be unaware that resources when added to a Web site can add value and increase sales. Adding resources, especially those that are Affiliate links to other products or services, is a great way to “backend” sales, by offering visitors more than the main product or service to buy.

2. A Web master may feel (wrongly) that offering other products or services, or including great informational resources may “compete” with their own product or service. They may be reluctant to expose others to resources or products and services that are the “same” as theirs, feeling that the competitor will end up with the sale. This may be true to some extent.

However, the benefits of providing other resources and products or services besides the main product or service greatly outweigh the negatives. Studies have shown that Web sites containing great resources have more return visitors, and greater sales numbers overall.

3. A Web master may not feel comfortable assuming the liability for other products and services, or other resources that are added to a site. Of course, the more that a site contains, the greater the maintenance and cost associated with a site. However, again, the benefits of a resource-laden site far outweigh the liabilities.

4. A Web master may have no idea how to find good resources or make a judgment about what to add and what to omit.

All of the above seems to account for the reluctance of some to add additional products and services or resources to their sites. Since adding additional products and services are beneficial to almost all Web sites, here are a few guidelines when choosing which resources to add, which to omit, and the approximate amount of resources to add.

1. Resources should always reflect the main theme of a Web site and be complimentary to the main Web site, as well as the other products, services, and resources that already exist. E. G. An Internet Marketing site should, in all probability, only contain links to products, services, and resources that reflect Internet Marketing.

2. Resources should always be “content rich” and interesting to the visitor. A smattering of lackluster, “same old, same old” type resources does the Web master little good, and may even hurt the Web site, by reducing its sales effectiveness.

3. Resources should be updated at least monthly, to keep the site “fresh and lively” for return visitors. Visitors quickly lose interest if a site seems stagnant.

4. Resources should be plentiful enough to fill out a site, however, they should never overshadow the main theme of a site nor should they take away from the main purpose. They should be placed in an orderly fashion, and laid out for easy accessibility and readability. Clutter should be avoided at all costs, and a clean look maintained. There is a fine line here between “just enough” and “way too much”.

5. Avoid gimmicky, poorly written, ethically substandard resources. A Web master must use judgment when choosing resources that are truly an asset to the site. “If in doubt, don’t” is a good rule of thumb here.

Resources not only add quality and backend sales on a Web site, they enhance Search Engine placement by providing content and incoming links. They give visitors a good feeling about the site, and they set the Web master up as an “expert” in any given field.

However, quality must always rule over quantity, when placing resources and additional products and services on a site. If prudence is used, resources will enhance sales and traffic, and keep the site “alive and well” long after other competitive sites have disappeared!

How to Quickly and Easily Write Traffic Generating Article?

The craft of writing as well as its theories can be studied and learned but article sense or the ability to smell the topic that would generate traffic in your website can only be learned through experience and interest.

That is, basically, how successful online entrepreneurs write their articles. They know that there could be no better way to generate ideas in order to make articles but to write what interests them most and what they have experienced. They also know that it is through article marketing that they can generate traffic and profit on their business website.

Sounds easy? Guess again.

People think that writing is so easy. They thought that it is just a matter of incorporating words and ideas. In reality, it is more than that. What they do not know is that writing is more than just words and ideas; it also entails the proper skill in order to come up with an article that focus more on generating traffic to your website.

Articles used in article marketing should be informative, motivating, appealing, and enlightening. It is one way of generating traffic to your website.

You should write articles that will make your readers feel that they have learned something just by reading your article. It is the only way to hook up your readers so that they will read your article throughout the end.

All of these things may seem overwhelming to a budding writer but as long as you have the passion and dogged determination to succeed online, then, everything will come off smoothly, quickly, and easily. Here are a few tips on how to quickly and easily write traffic generating article:

1. Think first, and then write.

Clear writing is the result of clear thinking. If the ideas are confused in your headif the points you want to make are vague to youthey will not be any clearer just because you want to put them down into writing.

To write clearly, you must think beforehand. You must figure out just what you want to say and why you are writing in the first place. Know who your readers are and write for them. Only then can you expect clarity, conciseness, consistency, and accuracy.

Doodling and thinking what you want to write and how to start it will cost so much time. The point here is that you should be able to come up with an article as quickly and as easily as possible.

2. Get to the point

Most of the writing that online businesses do is to inform. So it is generally a good idea to tell the reader, at the beginning, what it is all about. Suspense is so important in some forms of writing, but rarely in write-ups used in article marketing.

The beginning of a piece of writing is the most important part. So start punching right off. Come to the point quickly. Get the readers into the main idea. Or tell the reader something that will make him sit and take notice. Preferably something that is of interest to him.

You will find that if you pick out your main idea and state it briefly at the beginning, you will have little trouble staying on the beam for the remainder of the article. And the reader will have less trouble following you, if he has some idea where you are going.

3. Help people solve their problems

It is important that the write-up that you will create is something that will help people solve their problems. You should not focus more on how you want your readers respond to your product.

Hence, try to write a how-to article. It is another type of informative story, the purpose of which is to explain a process, the way of doing things, or how a certain product is made.

Writing articles that include top lists of something can also be beneficial to your readers. The lists will serve as a guide to the readers when buying or choosing some products.

By placing some information about your business at the end of each article, you will be able to promote your business quickly and easily.

And because the readers find your article very useful and informative, they will be enticed to visit your website. Without knowing it, you are already generating more traffic to your site.

4. Be positive

State a fact or idea directly, whenever possible. People will never read your article, much less attend to your business, if they find it so hard to understand your write-up. They will tend to think that if your article is not as good as it may sound; then, your business might be just the same.

5. Make your articles focus on your clients and not on your business

The problem with most people why they do not generate the necessary traffic to their site is because they are so self-centered. They are so concerned with generating income and profit that they focus more on advertising their business.

In article marketing, what matters most is how you focus more on how you can help the reader attend to his or her needs. It is how you will create the feeling of need for your product because it is one way of solving their problems.

The bottom line is that when writing articles that will quickly and easily generate traffic to your site is based on the fact that you should first try to solve the peoples problems. Its on how you will be bale to provide them solutions that they will be attracted to your site.

Once they are already generated to your site, it would be easier for you to introduce them to your products. And because they find your article very useful, they would have a propensity to patronize your product or services. That is simply the power of writing traffic-generating articles.
